Who We Are

On April 1, 2006, alumni brothers and sisters of Alpha Phi Omega – Philippines met in Stockton,
California, and discussed a new watering hole for Alpha Phi Omega in San Joaquin County, the
seat of the Central Valley of California.
After a working Constitution and By-Laws were presented, the group decided to name the
organization: Alpha Phi Omega Central Valley of California Alumni Association (APO CVC AA)
– pronounced "Civic."
APO CVC AA is one big family, and our families are part of our culture and the heart of all that
we do. As our Brother Butch Garcia once said, "You don't have to be blood to be family..."
As members of the Alpha Phi Omega Central Valley of California Alumni Association, we take
pride in carrying forward the spirit of Leadership, Friendship, and Service that has united us
since our collegiate days. What began as a shared commitment to serve others has grown into
a lifelong brotherhood and sisterhood — one that continues to make a positive difference
in our communities, our professions, and our families.
Our alumni span generations and chapters across the Central Valley, each bringing unique
experiences, talents, and passions. Together, we remain bound by the principles of APhiO
and the desire to live our Cardinal Principles beyond college life.
Through community service, mentoring, and fellowship events, we strengthen not only our
bonds as alumni but also the impact we create in the world around us.
APO CVC AA stands as a reflection of what it means to be part of Alpha Phi Omega —
a commitment that does not end with graduation. We celebrate the legacy of those who came
before us, support the journeys of those who
follow, and continue to embody our pledge to be leaders who serve.
As we look ahead, the Central Valley Alumni Association remains dedicated to building connections,
inspiring service, and fostering lifelong friendships.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to continue doing good, together.
